Tie your camel!

1860

“Verily never will God change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves.” (Qur’an, 13:11)

You know how you say “Oh I’ll wear hijab when I’m older”. Or “Oh, I’ll read Quran during Ramadan” or “Yeah, I’ll be more religious after college” or “I’ll stop having friends-the-opposite-gender in college”or”I’ll have a beard when i get old”.

And some of us say Allah will help us, and Allah will make us better. Some of us even make dua to Allah to give us strength to become better Muslims and ask Him to make us closer to him and be more pious.

But if we don’t take the first steps, how is it going to happen. Is He going to force a hijab on our head or the Quran onto our hands or do we have to get up and go get the Quran.

Remember – “Tie your camel, and then leave it up to Allah”.

Change now. Change today. Change overnight.
